I've lived where I live for about 18 years now, and while it's home, it doesn't truly resonate with me. I have warm, homey memories of different locations — my uncle's farm in Missouri, my aunt's old wood-and-tin house in Mongmong, Guam — but I don't think I'll ever really feel rooted. And I can feel at home almost anywhere. <BR/><BR/>But I was born into a nomad family, and I'm still a nomad, albeit one who hates to travel. I don't think I will ever feel rooted in or grounded into a specific place.<BR/><BR/>By the way, I enjoyed several of your pieces here. Very clear, resonant imagery.
